What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a form of talking therapy, in which the client and the therapist engage on a level deeper than the everyday conversation. It is not always necessary, but you may wish to go back into the past in order to gain a better understanding of the present.
Psychotherapy can be a life line, a valuable time to get to know yourself better or just the one hour a week, in which you are allowed to express yourself freely in a non-judgmental and safe environment.
Psychotherapy can help you get life into perspective (again).
Most people - when faced with difficult and distressing life situations - will experience a feeling of relief early on, merely due to the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings freely.
Client and therapist will look at the root causes of the client's distress, which will eventually bring about a greater awareness of oneself together with an enhanced ability to face life's challenges.
